Jim is married to Jennifer, his wife of 16 years. They have three children, Arianna, Emma, and William.
Jim is a realtor with Gibson Real Estate in the Rogers, AR location.
Jim became the House Majority Whip in March of 2014, becoming part of the Republican Caucus leadership team. He went onto become the House Co-Chair of the Arkansas Legislative Council in 2017, overseeing the operations of State government when the General Assembly is not in session.
Jim currently serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council, the Revenue & Taxation Committee, the Advanced Communications and Information Technology Committee, the State Agencies & Governmental Affairs Committee, the Joint Budget Committee and the Legislative Joint Audit Committee.
Jim lives in Bentonville, and is in his third term as the State Representative for District 93. He has also served two terms on the Bentonville City Council and has also served on the Bentonville Advertising and Promotions Commission before being elected to the House of Representatives in 2012.
Jim is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, the Bentonville Noon Rotary Club, and is a former Ambassador of the Year for the Bentonville / Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Jim is an active member of Ignite Church in Rogers.
